Z-Cron is a small but useful tool that allows you to automate processes on your computer by scheduling and executing regular tasks, programs, or different types of commands.
On the right of the main window there is a list of the planned tasks, on the left you will find the program options.
To add a task you need to use the Task option. Here, you can directly browse your computer to select a program, or hit the Tools button to select one of the commands from the list. The list of tools is varied; it includes commands of different functions, you can use alarms, check the Internet connection, schedule deletion of files, download files, use power-off actions, send emails, and more.
After you select a program, you can type one or more starting parameters. Next, you can select a batch file that may contain a series of commands to be executed. You can also specify the user account (the user name and password) to be used to execute the task.
After the task has been selected you need to schedule it by opening the Scheduler tab. You can specify the hour, day, week, month, etc.
The only requirement is that the program should be running to execute the scheduled tasks. And one advantage is that you can load it on Windows startup or use it as a system service.
